So glad you are coming to China! It’s so necessary to see how insane it is here to understand the Chinese point of view. It’s hard to believe that 40 years ago members of the bourgeoisie were being executed, and today it’s encouraged by Chairman Xi himself to partake in the most bourgeoise of beverages. Can’t wait to here what you guys find (and how freaked out you are by China).

Being a long time fan from the TMI days I want only the best for you and towards that end would like to suggest that in your efforts to learn to speak French that you try the Pimsleur programs (www.pimsleur.com). Their all audio method has proved effective if you stick with it. Full disclosure, I was the director of the program until Simon & Schuster discarded me (along with 30+) others in 2008. I remain, however, a fan of the method but more importantly a fan of you and the work you do. Congratulations on your work and your marriage. Here’s hoping that you’ll persevere and succeed with some method to acquire French: it’s such a beautiful language.

Apropos of nothing, I noted that on some of your programs Karen Frillman assisted you. We worked together for several years at Simon & Schuster in their audiobook division and I’m a huge fan of hers. If she hasn’t already ask her to relay her Hunter S. Thompson stories. And give her my best.

    Thanks again for your work.
