    These discussions echo ones I heard in the 80s where librarians discussed digital archives. Coming of age in that time means I mourn the 5 1/4″ floppy.

    Strange thing is that I still have software programs, APL source code that still runs, either as-is, or after some light tweaks. Not all media decays in the same way.

    P.S. I also like Gerard Langlet’s TOE, still associate the term with him.
